Now that Google has fully indexed our lives, it seems, why not use its Google News index technology for new blog posts?

Google will use its Google News technology to index the hundreds of thousands of new blogs that are posted every 24 hours. That’s a lot of content. Blogs are as critical now as mainstream news stories and Google is finally getting its head into the game. The previous version of Google Blog Search only brought up relevant searches when you typed in certain queries. With the new system in place, you’ll have the “best” posts picked up by Google categorized by different topics: news, sports, technology, politics, etc.

The biggest advantage the new Google Blog Search has for bloggers, according to one analyst, is that Google’s technology has the potential to drive more traffic to sites. Google can index your blog faster than anything else can.

Here’s a screenshot of what Google Blog Search looks right now:

Now bloggers have another powerful utility under their belt.

Once Google starts indexing people’s thoughts, let me know. Or by then, you’ll already know that I want to know. Then I don’t have to let you know what I want to know because you’ll already know through Google Brain Search.

Let me know what you think about Google Blog Search. Hit the comments below—you know.
